A perfect replica of the shoes worn by traders on the Chicago trading floor in the late 1990s. At a time when trading was yet to be digitised, tallness mattered on the chaotic trading floor - the taller you were, the more visible and the faster you could trade. Over time, the heels became so high that traders lost their balance and accidents began to occur, causing the Chicago Board of Trade to feel obliged to install a regulation limiting the maximum heel size.

Pictured to the right is Sam the Shoe Docotor, holding the shoe he made for me. Sam owned the shoe shop opposite the exchange which became the place where most traders came to customize their shoes
